OpenArt in Örebro

Solastalgia Pangolin is part of this year’s edition of OpenArt in Örebro and will be situated facing Nikolaikyrkan between June 13 and September 6.

Within the work’s protective shell is a simple dwelling with space for rest, work, and reflection throughout the exhibition period. It also contains a growing domestic pharmacy in the form of a library with texts, stories, and knowledge for those who wish to immerse themselves, withdraw for a while, or simply pause.

During OpenArt in Örebro, it is possible to book a stay in Solastalgia Pangolin for one or several nights throughout the exhibition period. A night in the Pangolin can offer a temporary interruption from the pace, stress, and anxieties of everyday life. The stay may also become an opportunity to gather one’s thoughts, write, read, converse, or spend extended time in close relation to the work and its practice. Here, there is space for stillness, concentration, and contemplation.

To spend the night in Solastalgia Pangolin also means becoming part of the work and its continuing journey. When the exhibition ends, the Pangolin will be dismantled and move on to new places, carrying traces of the people who have inhabited her.

The accommodation is simple and intimate and can be booked for one or several nights during the exhibition period.
